CITAC is pleased to announce the publication of “Oil Refining in Sub-Saharan Africa”, a unique and in-depth report examining Africa’s downstream oil sector.
The fourth African Refiners’ Week held in Cape Town on 16th - 21st March found record numbers of delegates participating to both the African Refiners’ Association’s Annual General Meeting and the CITAC downstream oil workshops.
CITAC is to provide consultancy services to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on its project for the off-shore processing of Nigerian crude oil.

Fuel oil markets are completely different to clean products. Fuel oil is used by a few large customers such as power or cement plants. The CITAC study shows that there are only about 100 buyers of fuel oil in Africa compared to millions of buyers of gasoline and diesel fuel.
